Build a future-proof, proactive service organisation at a growing global player

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for preparing CPS’s service organisation for its next phase. The foundations are already in place: a committed and highly skilled service team, an international installed base, and an organisation with ambitious plans. At the same time, there is a clear mandate to further professionalise Service and develop it into a future-proof, scalable, proactive, and commercially strong organisation.

You will be part of the Management Team and play an important role in the continued development of CPS. Guided by a clear vision, you will lead the transformation of the service organisation into a more proactive lifecycle partner. Maintenance, spare-parts supply, installation modernisation, and obsolescence management will be integrated to continuously improve the reliability, efficiency, and service life of customers’ installations. Digitalisation and customer value will be the connecting factors throughout this transition.

Based on a clear strategy, you will create support throughout the organisation and ensure that plans are effectively translated into concrete actions.

Digitalisation will be a key pillar. You will leverage the potential of remote support, monitoring, predictive maintenance, and digital service platforms to support customers faster, more intelligently, and more proactively. At the same time, you will continue to build sustainable customer relationships and work closely with CPS’s international network of partners and agents.

You will lead a team of approximately twelve employees and further develop structure, ownership, and effective decision-making. You will provide clarity, establish priorities, and help people take responsibility.

In short, this is both a strategic and hands-on Management Team position in which you will not only set the direction but, above all, be the person who genuinely gets the organisation moving.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

    •    Developing and implementing the service and lifecycle strategy.
    •    Further professionalising the service organisation into a scalable and future-proof department.
    •    Further developing the service team, with an emphasis on ownership and effective decision-making.
    •    Expanding service propositions such as SLAs, maintenance contracts, retrofits, and modifications.
    •    Increasing revenue from service, spare parts, maintenance, and recurring services.
    •    Initiating and implementing digital service solutions, including remote support, monitoring, predictive maintenance, and a customer portal.
    •    Strengthening collaboration with international partners and agents while building sustainable customer relationships.
    •    Managing KPIs, customer satisfaction, efficiency, profitability, and the continuous improvement of service performance.
    •    Translating strategy into concrete actions and ensuring successful implementation.

Your background

You are a strategically minded and results-oriented leader who has previously developed and professionalised a technical service organisation. You possess vision, organisational awareness, and the ability to execute. You know how to engage people, create structure, and translate plans into results.

In addition, they require:

    •    A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a technical field.
    •    Proven leadership experience within a technical service environment.
    •    Experience with service growth, lifecycle management, and commercial service propositions.
    •    Experience with the digitalisation of service processes, remote support, and/or predictive maintenance.
    •    Strong analytical, prioritisation, and execution skills.
    •    A commercial and collaborative approach, combined with strong communication skills.
    •    Willingness to travel internationally approximately 10–15% of the time.
    •    Good command of Dutch and English.

The offer

You will join CPS at an exciting stage in its development. The organisation is entering a new phase of growth and is investing significantly in further professionalisation. As a member of the Management Team, you will have the opportunity to shape the service organisation and make a lasting impact.

CPS offers the following employment conditions, among others:

    •    A strategic Management Team position offering considerable freedom, responsibility, and visibility.
    •    The opportunity to prepare an entire service organisation for the future.
    •    Plenty of scope for personal initiative, vision, and entrepreneurship.
    •    The opportunity to work for an innovative international machine manufacturer.
    •    Loyal colleagues, short communication lines, and an informal culture.
    •    A competitive employment package, including a company car, laptop, and phone.
