What will you be doing...

In the position of Lead Assembly, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our assembly department. You have a clear understanding of your team members’ skills and know how to empower people to perform at their best. You stay calm under pressure and continuously look for ways to work more efficiently and smarter. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading the assembly department, which is responsible for machine projects. This includes both electrical and mechanical assembly, as well as machine testing;
  • Ensuring compliance within the team with applicable procedures, work instructions, and the organization’s core values;
  • Conducting performance and appraisal reviews with employees and supporting their further development;
  • Acting as Prevention Officer as part of the Lead Assembly role. In this capacity, you are responsible for Health & Safety within the organization, including tasks related to Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E) and Emergency Response (BHV). 

In this role, you report directly to the Operations Manager.

You are able to set the right priorities and ensure that the assembly department runs smoothly to achieve the best possible results. Decisive, hands-on, and solution-oriented are terms that describe you well. You are not afraid to make tough decisions, and you have:

  • MBO+/HBO working and thinking level;
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience within a machine-building environment;
  • Experience with ERP systems;
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Knowledge of lean or 5S is considered a plus;
  • Experience as a Prevention Officer is considered a plus.
